JOB DESCRIPTION CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Management of Others Directs project resources to achieve defined deliverables.
Champions performance management of third-party resources.
Develops project and/or group budgeting.
Estimates resource needs and probability of success.
Plans schedules and directs work of group/project.
Propose and control budget for group/project.
Portfolio Management Manage a portfolio of capital projects across European region.
Projects could range from 250K Euros to greater than 20M Euros.
Maintain high level of customer focus and regular communication to ensure customer needs are understood and met.
Develop relationships with third party Engineering, Construction Management, and Contractors to drive standardization.
Leverage stage gate process to ensure disciplined execution methodology.
Develop Engineering and Construction Management standards to improve quality and consistency.
Utilize business acumen to assess alternatives and deliver the lowest cost solution that meets the user requirements.
Ensures that all pertinent legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
Project Management Accountable for safety, scope, schedule, quality, and cost on assigned projects.
Responsible to assess resource requirements for each project and implement a suitable organization using internal and external resources.
Leverage Sherwin-Williams systems, tools, and processes for capital project financial tracking, appropriation requests, and project management.
Partner with Sherwin-Williams teams including Manufacturing Site personnel, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, EHS, and Research and Development (RD) as required.
Conduct regular site visits to support project teams, assess team health, and manage risk.
Stakeholder Communication Responsible for regular communication to Sherwin-Williams stakeholders on project portfolio including people, safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Create, maintain, and present project management progress reports to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
QUALIFICATIONS FORMAL EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (Equivalent in European professional academic qualification or any other Engineering degree or Project Management Degree).
KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE: 7 years of experience in Project Management and Construction Management in Europe.
Experience managing large capital projects in different European countries, experience in country specific codes and regulations related to Industrial and Commercial construction and in dealing with several construction contractors and internal stakeholders.
Technical knowledge in industrial and commercial construction.
Knowledge and implementation of legislative matters regarding construction.
Existing relationship with qualified third-party Engineering, Construction Management, and General Contractors in Europe.
Project Management Qualification.
AutoCad or Solidworks experience.
Experience in Project Management for chemical processes.
