Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description The Engineering project manager will play a key role in stewarding and progressing approved capital projects from appropriation to completion by applying a disciplined approach to project engineering, process, and project management at Thermo Fisher Scientific Monza Site.
Primary Activities/Responsibilities Developing projects through detailed design and developing execution plans while achieving stated goals (i.e.
safety, quality, timelines, cost, reliability, and clients' satisfaction).
Performing accurate reporting for all the projects to track time, cost, and overall project health according to the original scope and its variations.
Interfacing and collaborating with clients, site management, operations and maintenance, global engineering, as well as third-party inputs on costs and design.
Providing the appropriate level of support to clients to address issues related to the technology transfer (TT) of the products and driving internal and external customers towards the best technical solution.
Acting as an SME for the Site and clients for engineering topics (e.g., equipment, processes, civil) as well as PM for projects that involve several functions.
Collaborating with the Quotation and Technical Business Manager Team to determine costs associated with the start of a new project through the analysis of the necessary changes for the transfer itself and the optimization of the new processes.
Working in self-directed and collaborative environments while maintaining a high level of accountability to the project development outcome.
Requirements: Education: Master's degree in engineering or related technical fields.
Experience: At least 3+ years in a manufacturing environment in a technical role (i.e., operations, engineering, manufacturing).
Good knowledge of cGMP and Engineering Standards.
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Basic understanding of PID.
Fluent communication in English.
Personality Traits Motivation to acquire knowledge of process and equipment design.
Driven and enthusiastic about project execution and overall continuous improvement.
Ability to interact with organizational levels both horizontally and vertically, as well as with third parties (i.e., suppliers, clients).
Strong problem-solving attitude.
Desirables Previous Pharma experience (fill and finish or API manufacturing site).
PMP/Prince2 or other Project Management Certification.
