You will be the leader of the Kong Kubernetes team. This team is responsible for delivering the enterprise and open-source versions of both Kong Ingress Controller and Kong Gateway Operator.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead and grow a distributed team and be responsible for providing technical leadership to key projects, and empowering and developing the team members to do the same.
You and your team will build, and continuously improve the Kong Kubernetes offering.

What you'll be doing:
Building software and systems to manage infrastructure and customer-facing applications on Kubernetes. Managing through uncertainty and partnering closely with development teams to design, build, deploy, support, and monitor new and existing Kong cloud services. Measuring and optimizing service performance and change management. Managing releases. Hiring, mentoring and maintaining healthy engineers who value collaboration and innovation. Working closely with the rest of the product engineering team to deliver novel software solutions to customer problems. Working closely with the Gateway team to integrate Kong's newest features and improvements into the ingress controller and controller. Giving constructive feedback to Engineers, conducting 1:1's, performing performance reviews and striving for continuous improvement. Suggesting guidelines, principles and processes to improve the Engineering org. Assuring high quality work. What you'll bring:
Overall 10+ years of Industry experience. 2+ years of Engineering management experience. Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Knowledge of GatewayAPI and the wider Kubernetes ecosystem. Experience managing remote teams, doing reviews, hiring, and compensation. Experience with Docker, Go, AWS, GCP, and Azure. About Kong:
