Job Summary: The Engineering Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing and controlling all engineering-related documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards. key role in facilitating efficient communication and collaboration among project teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Document Management: Maintain an organized and efficient document control system to store, track, and manage engineering documents, including drawings, blueprints, CAD files, specifications, and other technical data. Document Review: Review all incoming and outgoing documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Version Control: Manage document versions, revisions, and change orders to ensure that all stakeholders have access to the most current and accurate information. Distribution: Distribute approved documents to relevant team members, contractors, and other stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and access control. Document Retrieval: Ensure that documents are easily retrievable and accessible to authorized personnel. Maintain a logical document filing and indexing system. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that documents adhere to established quality and formatting standards. Compliance: Ensure that all engineering documents meet industry-specific standards and regulations, including ISO, ASME, or other relevant codes. Auditing: Conduct periodic audits of the document control system to identify and rectify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of document movements and changes. Training: Train and educate staff on document control procedures and best practices, including software tools used for document management. Documentation Software: Proficiency in document control software (e.g., Documentum, SharePoint, AutoCAD Vault) and the ability to implement and optimize these tools within the organization. Security: Maintain document security protocols to protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access. Requirements Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field may be preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
