**About the role**:
We are looking for an **Energy Procurement Specialist** who will:
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive energy purchasing strategy to enable sustainable and efficient energy purchasing, pricing, conditions, data management and budgeting.
- Support suppliers scouting, tendering, negotiation, contract terms definition and pricing for power and natural gas supply contracts, PPAs, Energy Attribute Certificates (GO, IRECs, RECs, RGGOs, etc) and EUAs.
- Ensure control and accuracy in energy consumption monitoring and reporting, defining KPIs and developing calculation models to forecast energy costs impact.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of energy market regulations and international standards (GHGp, REDIII, etc) to support the company in its sustainability journey.
- Support the implementation of the company's decarbonization plan providing analysis, market outlook and ad hoc reports to key internal stakeholders.
**Main responsabilities**:
- Support the definition of policies and criteria (quality, legal, environmental, ethical) for energy purchasing.
- Elaborate methodologies / calculation models / parameters to provide the correct pricing for energy and related (EAC, EUA, etc.) purchases.
- Provide technical and fundamental market indexes analysis to support budgeting.
- Provide risk management models and coordinates activities to contain the market risks in the given limits.
- Support local teams for forecasting energy consumptions and costs, providing methodological approaches and models, also through the recalculation and check of invoices.
- Manage tendering of complex energy supply contracts though suppliers scouting, negotiation, T&Cs definition and pricing performing analyses for internal stakeholders' approvals in line with Group policies
- Ensure energy price optimization through a monitoring of energy stock markets.
- Support local entities managing CO2 allowances purchasing and environmental certificates sale.
- Manage tendering and purchasing for Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs)
- Analyze, monitor and ensure reporting for Group functions, providing inputs for Sustainability reports (e.g., CSR)
- Support key internal stakeholders in the development of energy efficiency projects and onsite renewable origination plants
**Who we are looking for**:
- Master's degree in Economics, Energy Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally 3+ years of work experience
- Experience in Energy markets, energy trading, contract negotiations, utility tariffs, energy regulations would be considered a plus.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Passionate self-starter.
**IT Skills**:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and data analytics.
