RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy and Climate Research & Innovation Project Manager to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Energy Innovation Centre Division.
MissionThis role focuses on the project & proposal management of international R&D projects, focused on sustainability and decarbonization of the built environment, as well as climate change adaptation at rural and urban levels.
Key AccountabilitiesThe new resource will be part of the team Energy Innovation Strategic Centre, which is mainly exposed to R&D projects and innovation activities. They will:
Manage EU R&D projects in the field of sustainability, decarbonization and climate adaptation of the built environment in urban and rural contextsDevelop and manage EU R&D proposals in the same fields listed concerning R&D project managementDevelop and manage the network of EU project international partners.Scout Funded and Tendered opportunities in the field of Energy efficiencyContribute to RINA's activities of technical development, in the framework of EU funded projects also interacting with international partnersContribute to or deliver reports and results European research and innovation projects involving energy efficiency, decarbonization, and climate mitigation and adaptationContribute to the creation of new opportunities and the preparation of new proposals in the framework of European and international R&D programmesContribute to the growth of RINA's network of R&D partners in the field of energy transition, and climate mitigation and adaptationQualificationsDegree in Energy/Building/Environmental engineering, with a strong focus on sustainability and climate mitigation/adaptation strategiesPhD in a relevant field is a strong plusAt least 3 years of related work-experience (including PhD)Fluency in English and ItalianExcellent reporting skills both verbal and writtenCapacity to conduct research, organize work and produce resultsExcellent attitude to teamworkOpen-minded to innovation, creativity and good attitude to networkingSoft SkillsThe candidate is expected to have an analytical mind, a creative nature and some commercial awareness to excel in this important role.
