The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is looking for an experienced Financial Services Specialist (Banking) to join our fast-paced team and help drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry in Italy. As a Banking Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team focused on increasing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging with executives and influencers at all levels. You will work closely with teams across AWS to build relationships with financial institutions, from FinTech startups to the largest global financial entities in the world. The customers include banks, credit card companies, mobile payment providers, and payment networks.
Key job responsibilities Strategically, the AWS Banking Specialist seeks to understand the needs of Banking customers, the overall trends in the industries, how customers define success, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in developing and delivering valued industry solutions.This is an active role in developing business cases, analysing project goals, creating plans to achieve those goals, and then driving the AWS team members, stakeholders/SMEs and potentially other third-party organisations to achieve those goals while addressing industry-specific execution challenges.Tactically, the AWS Banking Specialist is responsible for planning and leading business development initiatives through their understanding of their customers, their solutions, and the key solutions vendors and system integrators who deliver those solutions.They leverage their management and leadership capabilities to identify and manage risks, resolve issues and escalate where appropriate to drive initiatives to successful completion. A day in the life Serve as a member of the Financial Services Specialist team in helping to drive AWS marketing, sales, and technical strategies for the financial services industry.Participate in business case development, project goal creation and analysis, and in the creation of execution plans for achievement.Create strategic business development plans for Banking segment in Italy/EMEA and ensure these plans are in line with the AWS strategic direction.Execute tactical business development plans while working closely with internal stakeholders including sales teams, solution architects, market development teams, professional services and support teams, legal and contract teams, and the AWS service teams.Identify and manage risks, resolve issues, and escalate where appropriate to drive projects to successful completion. About the team The FSI GTM EMEA is a diverse team that provides industry expertise to field teams, partners and customers across the EMEA region. We work with customers, earning trust, to align business outcomes to AWS capabilities.
The Global Financial Services team focuses on the largest FSI customers that typically operate across multiple continents and regulatory jurisdictions. The customers are managed on a global basis, you will be responsible for Regional Operating Entities of FSIs or a line-of-business, as part of a cross-functional team dedicated to each customer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.Bachelor's degree. Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
