Qascom is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain, based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (VI).
The resource will contribute to the development of new Qascom products and solutions for space and professional markets, including: GNSS-based positioning and navigation technologies, spacecraft payloads, radio beacons, signal and navigation processing, testbed etc.
Requirements:
Master's degree in software, telecommunications or electronics engineering
Experience as software developer on embedded devices (2 years min) Experience with development of Linux applications and drivers
Experience with testing frameworks (i.e: GTest, Catch2, Boost.Test, Unity) and TDD
Knowledge of real time operating systems (i.e: FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, RTEMS) Knowledge of Linux operating system for embedded devices
Knowledge of C and Modern C++
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
Development of device drivers for the Linux kernel
Development or customization of board support packages (BSP) for brand new and existing QASCOM's hardware
Design, development and test of embedded applications, usually in C/C++
Contribution in the maintenance and streamline of QASCOM software repositories for embedded applications, including the adoption of continuous integration approaches
Contribution in defining and reviewing software architecture of new products
Preparation of Technical documentation and software configuration
