Auryn Aero is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and a strong background in open-source autopilot software. This role involves developing, testing, and integrating embedded software for our state-of-the-art UAV systems. Develop and Maintain Software : Design and implement embedded software for UAV systems using Python, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring robust and efficient code. Integrate Open-Source Autopilot Software : Customize and optimize open-source autopilot platforms like ArduPilot and PX4 to meet specific project requirements. Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and other software developers to integrate software components seamlessly into UAV systems. Conduct Testing and Debugging : Perform rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve software issues, ensuring high reliability and performance. Participate in Design Reviews : Contribute to system architecture design, participate in peer reviews, and provide feedback to improve software quality and functionality. Documentation and Compliance : Create detailed technical documentation and ensure software development processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in embedded software development with strong proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink. Autopilot Software Knowledge: In-depth understanding and practical experience with open-source autopilot software (e.g., ArduPilot, PX4), including customization and optimization. Real-Time Systems: Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware-software integration. UAV and Aerospace Industry: Familiarity with UAV systems, aerospace industry standards, and relevant regulations. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Communication and Documentation: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create clear technical documentation.
