ELI Knowledge and Competence Management Specialist Job Description:
Objectives
To define the strategy for, implement and maintain a knowledge management system within the Engineering & Innovation (E&I) organization of the Leonardo helicopter division. To identify and monitor the competences required by E&I resources and foster their growth by feeding training plans together with HR. Responsibilities
Continuous review and update of the existing E&I processes and tools relevant to knowledge management (application, retention, transformation, usage). Leverage and promote the existing processes and tools for E&I knowledge creation and sharing across the whole E&I perimeter. Explore and define new dedicated frameworks, processes, and tools relevant to define and promote a structured and maintainable knowledge management system. Identify areas in the knowledge spectrum requiring prioritization in accordance with the E&I Roadmap, in close collaboration with E&I Areas and Units, and elaborate dedicated initiatives. Identify and monitor the competences required by E&I resources as linked to specific job roles and in accordance with the E&I Technology roadmap. Foster competence maintenance and growth by feeding training plans together with HR. Keep up to date and foster the introduction of best practices in knowledge and competence management in Engineering and Aerospace Industries. Tasks
Define and develop guidelines/requirements for processes, tools, and practices for Engineering Knowledge Management Process & Systems. Interface with all relevant E&I Units to collect needs for continuous improvement of KMS, and support collaboration and the usage of KMS provisions. Define promotion and monitoring mechanisms for KMS. Constantly monitor usage rates of processes and tools, avoiding duplications and parallel offline systems. Gather user feedback, analyze it, and propose corrective actions. Ensure proper permission management for KMS tools. Explore the introduction of new processes and tools, including scouting of external best practices. Elaborate business cases for new solutions and develop introduction programs. Support HR and other E&I Units in the definition, mapping, and review of the required competences for the relevant E&I job profiles. Define and implement monitoring mechanisms for competences assessment. Define training actions and plans in conjunction with E&I areas and HR. Define and implement training effectiveness monitoring mechanisms to support the definition of effective training programs. Requirements
Engineering Degree or other Degree, with Knowledge Management specialization. Experience in knowledge base and contents management tools (e.g., OpenText, Confluence, MediaWiki, intranet, others). Experience in working with large organizations. Familiarity with Aviation / Helicopter Industry. Competences
Technical writing and storytelling skills. Good knowledge of key communications principles. Well-structured, able to plan, implement, and monitor activities. Energetic, positive, and enthusiastic individual with drive and ambition. Good social skills; ability to connect and work with teams across the Engineering & Innovation department and various geographies. Concern for accuracy and sensitivity of information. Autonomous, able to work under tight deadlines. Open-minded and pragmatic. Languages
