Job Title: Electronics Restoration Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Restoration Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and completing restoration activities on various electronics, including computers, stereos, TVs, appliances, and handheld electronics that have been affected by disasters like water or fire damage.
This position involves working closely with customers, conducting detailed damage assessments, and executing the restoration of electronics to their pre-loss condition.
You will also ensure all restoration work is documented and completed according to industry standards, while providing exceptional service to clients in their time of need.
Key Responsibilities:
Electronics Restoration & Testing: Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and test various electronics, ensuring they meet our standards.Utilize the electronics testing cart for comprehensive diagnostics and restoration processes.Document work completed, including the use of daily production logs and photo documentation for insurance purposes.Job Site Management & Coordination: Retrieve work orders and review job details, ensuring appropriate tools, equipment, and supplies are loaded onto the truck for restoration activities.Assist with the pack-out of contents, ensuring proper handling and labeling of electronic items.Perform water damage restoration tasks as needed, including light construction and demolition.Complete assigned tasks with attention to quality control and meet deadlines for each restoration project.Team Leadership & Training: Direct daily activities of the Electronics Restoration Technician team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to quality standards.Train new technicians in restoration processes and equipment use, ensuring their proficiency.Participate in production meetings to prioritize tasks and manage the cleaning and restoration of urgent jobs.Customer Interaction: Clearly explain the restoration process and next steps to customers, ensuring they are informed and comfortable throughout the process.Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.Documentation & Reporting: Document all completed work using company-specific software and tracking systems.Capture before-and-after photos, ensuring proper labeling and organization for insurance claims and company records.Maintain clean and organized workspace for tools, equipment, and inventory.Job Requirements:
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in electronics restoration, repair, or related fields preferred.Experience in the restoration or construction industry is beneficial but not required.Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of electronics, including computer systems, appliances, and handheld devices.Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply technical knowledge to a wide range of devices.Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in using mobile devices or software for data entry and documentation.Certifications (Preferred but not required): WTR (Water Damage Restoration Technician)ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician)Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and crawling.Exposure to various working conditions, both inside and outside, with or without air conditioning and heating.Use of respirators for safety in certain environments may be required.Company Overview:
