RINA is currently recruiting for a Electrical Systems Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Milan, Rome, Bari or Lecce - Italywithin the Power Division.MissionThe Electrical System Design Engineer is focuses on support the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for various projects.You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of electrical power systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.In particular this role focuses on engineering consultancy and design of MV/HV electrical systems concerning power generation and industrial facilities grid connectionKey Accountabilities1.Power System Design Support: - Assist in the preparation of design calculations, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems under the guidance of senior engineers.- Contribute to the development of electrical schematics, layouts, and diagrams using computer assisted engineering and design software.2.Component Evaluation and Selection: - Support senior engineers in evaluating and selecting appropriate components such as transformers, generators, switchgear, and circuit breakers based on project requirements.- Assist in conducting research and gathering data to inform component selection decisions.2.System Modeling Assistance: - Aid in the utilization of simulation software tools for power system modeling and analysis.- Assist in performing basic simulations and analysis to verify system behavior and performance.3.Documentation Assistance: - Assist in preparing technical documents including system specifications, calculations, and drawings.- Support the documentation of design concepts, analysis results, and recommendations.4.Collaboration and Coordination: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of electrical power systems into overall project designs.- Assist in coordinating tasks and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.5- Testing and Validation Support: - Assist in the development of test plans and procedures for prototype testing.- Support senior engineers in conducting basic testing and validation activities to ensure system reliability and safety.6.Troubleshooting Assistance: - Aid in identifying and resolving technical issues related to power system design through troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.7.Learning and Development: - Engage in ongoing learning and professional development activities to expand knowledge of electrical power system technologies, standards, and best practices.- Seek guidance from senior engineers and participate in training programs as needed.8.Compliance Support: - Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.- Support senior engineers in conducting research and staying updated on regulatory requirements.EducationMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic/TLC EngineeringQualifications -
