RINA is currently recruiting for a Electrical System Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Power Division.MissionThe Electrical System Engineer focuses on supporting the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for various projects.
You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of electrical power systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
In particular, this role focuses on engineering consultancy and design of MV/HV electrical systems concerning power generation and industrial facilities grid connection.Key AccountabilitiesPower System Design Support:Assist in the preparation of design calculations, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems under the guidance of senior engineers.Component Evaluation and Selection:Support senior engineers in evaluating and selecting appropriate components such as transformers, generators, switchgear, and circuit breakers based on project requirements.System Modeling Assistance:Aid in the utilization of simulation software tools for power system modeling and analysis.Documentation Assistance:Assist in preparing technical documents including system specifications, calculations, and drawings.Collaboration and Coordination:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of electrical power systems into overall project designs.Testing and Validation Support:Assist in the development of test plans and procedures for prototype testing.Troubleshooting Assistance:Aid in identifying and resolving technical issues related to power system design through troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.Learning and Development:Engage in ongoing learning and professional development activities to expand knowledge of electrical power system technologies, standards, and best practices.Compliance Support:Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.EducationMaster's Degree in Electrical EngineeringQualificationsBasic understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Eagerness to learn and develop skills in electrical power system design.CompetenciesADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships across departments and outside the organization.CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction.EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints.MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognize one's and others' emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances.PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model.THINK FORWARD - Capitalize on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.With over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player that provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision, vendor inspection, training, and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
