Schematic & Apparatus Engineer Purpose of the Job: Design train electrical architecture, cubical layout, and wiring routing.Specify electrical apparatus to be used on projects according to Preferred Parts List and project requirements.Produce pure principle scheme (PPS), solution principle schemes (SPS), cabling principle schemes (CPS), and project apparatus specifications.Position in the Organisation: Hierarchical: Schematic & Apparatus Domain Leader (S&ADL)
Functional: Schematic & Apparatus Leader (S&AL)
Network & Links: Maintain permanent links with the Train Control Engineer (TCE), Train System Engineer (TSE), fitting engineers, and all Sub-System Engineers (SSE) of the project. Directly link with Verification & Test Engineer.
Missions: Performance Measurement/KPI's:
Quality of delivery (including sub-contractor delivery): 1st time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of modification applied).Respect of the delivery planning (including sub-contractor delivery): 100% on-time delivery.Level of application of standard PPL: 100% of PPL.Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects: 0 missing RoE.Responsibilities: Accountable for: Delivering the right product at the right moment to the project, consisting of the complete electrical case or a set of electrical deliverables for each baseline made of:Electrical Apparatus and components specificationConnector coding specificationCubical specificationWiring listDevice listHarness caseElectrical architecture at train levelManaging the configuration of deliverables.
Responsible for: Managing the S&A Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) of activities and sub-contracting management (inputs/outputs management).
