What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Establish EHT Electrical Heat Tracing project technical requirements through interpretation of specifications and other technical documentation (both nVent and Client generated documents) Work together with internal Design Centers to meet projects' schedule and budgetary constraints Regularly monitor actual project progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met to ensure client satisfaction Design electrical power and control solutions that satisfy the projects requirements Ensure all bought out equipment ( electrical panels, transformers, cables and control/monitoring equipment) associated with projects are correctly specified Complete Technical Bid Analysis (TBA) for bought out equipment, and lead technical discussions with vendors as appropriate Check and approve vendor design documents, ensuring they meet projects requirements and nVent standards Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at vendors works, ensuring that equipment is built and tested to the appropriate standards and documents Represent nVent in engineering design discussions with, for example, Clients and sub-contractors Participate in development and improvement initiatives, and undertake internal and external training and product awareness Willing and able to spend time away from "home office" at either client offices or other nVent Thermal Management locations You have: Academic background in Electrical Engineering (Diploma/Degree level) Previous experience (preferred but not mandatory) in or with engineering activities obtained in a process environment (preferably within the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical / Power industries). Typically 5 to 10 years. Knowledge of electrical power distribution, control and monitoring, piping, hazardous area classification (ATEX and IEC norms) Computer literate – able to use in-house design software packages and proficient in a wide variety of MS Office programs (Word, Excel) Fluent in English language (oral and written). Good knowledge of Italian language is mandatory.
