This is an on-site role, located at the Oro Grande, CA cement manufacturing plant. The Electrical Superintendent will contribute to reach maximum availability/reliability of the electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment and installations in the plant by performing the appropriate corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance actions at the lowest optimum cost and in compliance with environmental, health & safety regulations.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in buildings and construction projectsEnsure compliance with national and local electrical codesCoordinate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to develop and implement electrical plans and timelinesSchedule, coordinate, and supervise all onsite electrical subcontractors for cement projectsPlan, assign, and coordinate project work with various electrical subcontractors to ensure continuous project workflowWork closely with electricians and other team members to achieve project goalsFacilitate communication and collaboration among team members to ensure efficient execution of electrical projectsEnsure that electrical work meets quality standards and safety regulationsMonitor progress, address any issues, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on trackGuarantee compliance with safety and environment policies for electrical maintenance personnelEstablish a safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during maintenance activitiesContribute to plant housekeeping and cleanlinessPlan and direct the work of the electrical supervisor, automation, and systems engineersDetermine and schedule the necessary actions of corrective and preventive electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance in coordination with the Mechanical and Preventive Maintenance Superintendent and Supervisors to ensure proper functioning of electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment and installationsEnsure the electrical maintenance team's full-time readiness to tackle emergencies or urgent breakdowns efficientlyPlan annual electrical maintenance plans according to preventive maintenance plans or scheduled corrective maintenance actionsEnsure outage plans are implemented by the electrical supervisor, automation and systems engineers and their reports or contractors assigned the tasksManage execution of maintenance activities by third partiesCooperate with Production and Process departments in the execution of complex maintenance actionsSupport the Maintenance Superintendent with maintaining the budget, ensuring planning and follow-up of costs; implement effective and systematic solutions to achieve budget and to meet or exceed targetsCommunicate and implement regulations, company goals, local permits, policies and procedures; optimize the internal processes and structureEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Instrumental Engineering preferredWill consider related work experience in lieu of a degree.Requirements/QualificationsMinimum of ten years of electrical experience in cement, construction materials, or related manufacturing industriesStrong knowledge and skills in the areas of electrical design, power distribution and systems, electrical equipment, motors and motor controls, automation, instrumentation, and control systemsRequired Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), PLC, Preferred Siemens and Allen Bradley. Other Systems Experience Analyzers: Tekran, Siemens, Siemens Medium and Low Voltage Variable Frequency DrivesStrong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)Will be required to travel to company facilities and other meeting locationsMust be a self-starter and be able to work independentlyMust be able to work cooperatively with plant and corporate personnelPreferred: Professional Engineering licenseExperience in cement, asphalt, ready mix, and aggregate plant operationsConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
