WSP has a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Services team based in Rende (Cosenza).
The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary, international team, contributing to the development of renewable energy projects.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?
The individual will handle routine engineering tasks, applying established engineering principles to specific portions of projects.
Responsibilities include compiling, verifying, and analyzing data to address engineering challenges, as well as contributing to designs, studies, reports, and process deliverables.
This includes performing calculations, simulations, and preliminary analyses using prescribed methods and tools.
Additional duties involve supporting the preparation of material requisitions, specifications, and related documentation, while coordinating assigned tasks with other technical team members.
The individual will also assist in the development and verification of project control documents and status reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of regulatory codes, standards, and design criteria related to the renewable energy field.
They are developing their skills as a consultant or designer, capable of producing high-quality deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget.
Technical decisions at this level are typically routine, guided by established procedures, and require accuracy in calculations and data analysis.
The individual will receive supervision and guidance from senior engineers and may provide technical direction to others on specific design tasks.
They will work within their immediate team and collaborate with other disciplines as directed.
Strong written communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage personal workload and multiple commitments are essential.
The candidate is expected to seek out and apply feedback, demonstrate growth potential in both technical and soft skills, and begin building a professional network to support future development and workload management.
Degree in electrical or energy engineering Utility scale renewables plants functioning flow and equipment; Italian grid connection regulatory aspects (CEI 0-16, Terna Grid Code at least); Electrical (LV/MV/HV), grid, connections, substations design; Single line diagrams; Electrical calculations; Principles of Energy Yield Assessments; Sizing of MV/HV lines, both underground or overhead, is considered a plus; Softwares: AutoCAD, PVsyst, Ampere (or similar), DigSilent (or similar) Excel and Office Package.
