We are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support our team of engineers with designing, analysing, and assessing medium and high-voltage substations for power generation projects, specifically renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in substation engineering and electrical engineering principles. In this role, you will support to assess safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs implementation of substations.
This is a permanent role and will offer excellent prospects for career development involving different power generation technologies, mainly renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:Primary plant design and layouts for HV substations;Equipment specifications for HV Plant and ancillary equipment;Providing engineering design input to major electrical power projects from feasibility/front-end engineering stages to detailed design/site construction monitoring and commissioning;Project management and coordination with clients and our design teams, including civil, structural, environmental, survey/geotechnical, transport, protection and control and CAD/BIM team;Delivering projects in new technologies e.g. energy storage, HVDC systems, smart grid solutions, waste to energy etc;Provide professional services to clients both Nationally and Internationally.What Would Make You a Match:We are looking for committed and motivated graduates with a genuine passion for engineering and a desire to make a difference in the world. To apply for this scheme, you will have less than 12 months relevant work experience and have a degree or are expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines: Electrical Engineering. In your application, you should be able to demonstrate your interest through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.
