NOV Rig Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will utilize your technical knowledge and professional experience to contribute to the delivery of Cable Lay, Pipelay, handling, lifting, and special equipment into our customers. In cooperation with the Engineering Team, you will be working on Electrical and Automation Systems engineering throughout all phases of a project. You will complete the Electrical and Automation Engineering deliverables for the purpose of quoting, designing, and satisfying customer requirements, acting as a focal point for technical matters on specific projects.
You will:
Support the development of the Hardware of Electrical and Automation Control system based on Switchboards, PLC, HMIs, and VFDs. Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop customized customer-centric designs. Ensure all deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements. Ensure timely and thorough review of client specifications and communication of findings. Participate in internal design review meetings, being aware of commercial implications. Review and respond to client comments. Attend and participate in client meetings, always ensuring customer care is at the forefront. Contribute to the investigation, resolution, and documentation of Engineering Queries in a timely and technically acceptable fashion. Reduce cost of product through new design simplification and existing product redesign. Perform testing and commissioning of the equipment at production site or customer site (offshore). An appreciation of the commercial implications of engineering decision making, attention to detail, ability to work effectively with other team members, a keen focus on delivery, and the ability to turn fast-paced, client-driven requirements into profitable solutions are all critical to success in this role. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills, as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting projects.

The principles of electric and automation design. Electrical and Automation Rules and standards. Sensors and Actuators. Drives and Motors. Use of Electric CAD. Use of Electrical Plant verification Software. Dimensioning of Switchgears (Breakers, contactors). Design of cabinets and control desks. Design of Large drive Systems. Design of PLC based system.
