ELECTRICAL AUTOMATION PROJECT ENGINEER Our client is a primary company operating in the steel sector that focuses on sustainable solutions, attentive to cost reduction, energy saving and environmental impact.
We are looking for an Electrical and Automation Project Engineer to join the Material Handling Unit.
This division is responsible for the supply of material handling equipment, with a specific focus on port and material handling terminals loading and unloading machines.
The ideal candidate will work in close cooperation with the mechanical team in order to develop electrical and automation engineering for projects related to the design and production of Material Handling machineries and equipment.
Main activities: Analysis of customer's contractual specifications and elaboration of the basic technical project requirements.
Preparation of Electrical and Automation basic engineering (Single line diagrams, Control Network layouts, Motors and Instruments list, I/O lists, Equipment location drawings, Basic electrical calculations, etc…).
Preparation of purchasing technical specifications for electrical and automation materials, software and engineering.
Review of basic and detail engineering submitted by external partners.
Review of detail engineering submitted by electrical and automation suppliers.
Coordination of internal and external resources during the engineering and manufacturing phase, in accordance with the Quality System, with the IEC or international standards and with all the contractual or internal technical requirements.
Collaboration with Project Management and Purchasing Department in order to respect the scheduling and the contractual conditions.
Assisting the construction and commissioning phase at site.
Required profile: Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Preferably at least 5 years of experience in the same role.
Knowledge of plants and machines for the material handling industry will be considered a plus.
Knowledge of the most common PC tools: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and 3D CAD.
Basic knowledge of PLC architectures and programming.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good understanding of dynamic and challenging environments.
Organizational capabilities, planning and controlling, customer orientation, results orientation, problem solving, and people management will complete the ideal candidate profile.
Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
Available to travel.
