Job Overview : Our client is seeking an experienced EHS / PSM Specialist III to join their team in Calvert City KY. This role is crucial in driving environmental health and safety initiatives across the organization while coordinating sitewide Process Safety Management (PSM) activities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving process safety performance and ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate EHS policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Represent EHS in project reviews to identify and resolve regulatory issues, analyze process and property hazards, and establish safety measures to mitigate risks. Oversee PSM information systems and databases, provide regulatory interpretations, develop written site programs and standards, and track PSM metrics. Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), manage the site schedule, and maintain all documentation. Review PSM documentation and collaborate with site operations and leadership to upgrade and administer essential program elements. Qualifications :
B.S. / B.A. degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, or Occupational Safety and Health. 5 years of EHS experience and 3 years of PSM experience. Certified PHA Facilitator and Certified ISO 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor. Knowledgeable in PSM, RMP, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ISO 14001 / 45001 requirements. Ability to create training materials and effectively conduct employee training sessions. Strong ability to read and comprehend Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
