Overview & Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the Regional Programme Finance Coordinator, EECA & LAC and in close collaboration with respective units at IDLO's HQ in Rome, the Contractor will perform the following duties: Payments: Review payment and travel requests, and when complete, post invoices in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and prepare payment packages for further processing by IDLO's Payment Unit; Ensure that all payment packages are properly filed for audit purposes; Assist with preparation of bank reconciliations and ageing schedules. Oversight: Review financial documentation submitted by EECA country offices, perform compliance spot checks to verify that costs recorded are programme-related and that necessary documentation is available as proof of receipt of services or goods; Ensure that all programme-related financial documentation is completed and properly filed. Audits: Assist with the preparation of documents for project audits. Other: Assist with development of payment processing procedures; Perform other similar duties as assigned by Supervisor. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting from an accredited institution. Work Experience Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in a financial role. Language Proficiency Fluency in English is required; Proficiency in one of the languages of Eastern Europe or Central Asia is an asset. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Demonstrated work experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably with MS NAVISION. Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is an advantage. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required, in conjunction with relevant database and word processing software. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and flexibility. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail. Enthusiastic and proactive attitude. Self-motivated and dynamic with a willingness and ability to use initiative to assist the organization in achieving its objectives; Keen sense of ethics, integrity, and commitment to IDLO's mandate. Terms & Conditions For this position, a consultancy contract with an end date of 30 June 2025 is offered. The monthly rate of the consultancy contract is EUR 2,000 (20 working days per month).
