As a result, unlike many other OEM or supplier organizations, Garrett Advancing Motion has visibility across a broad range of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
We have an exciting new opening for a Systems Architect. You'll be given the opportunity to develop next-generation products and technologies for the automotive industry.
As an individual contributor to the Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE) System Architect drives the following activities:
Ownership of EE system architecture design activities for active projects. This includes also participation in technical discussions with customers regarding EE system requirements, understanding them, challenging them and proposing alternatives to customers.
Define and propose Electric System architecture alternatives based on stakeholders' requirements (End customer and internal customers (Product level, manufacturing), Safety, and security requirements)
Chose the "best" architecture through tradeoff studies between meeting stakeholders' requirements, cost constraints, timing constraints, risk mitigation, reusability…and document the "best" choice justifications.
The "best" architecture being defined, cascade system requirements towards system elements through design decisions taken during architecture definition including dynamic behaviour and interfaces definition (with close collaboration with domains experts (Controls, HW, SW, E Machine...)
Make sure all aspects impacting architecture are taken into account during and after architecture definition (impact of Functional safety, all output from risk analysis are integrated, and the impact of any change request of the defined architecture shall be clearly identified and assessed.
Helicopter view: Oversee and supervise the work of the development team by Working in close collaboration with element owners (designers of HW and SW) to make sure the design meets architecture/system requirements. Develop and/or support EE system engineering processes development (Aspice , ISO 26262, FMEAs, Functional Analysis...)
