UWC Adriatic is set in the picturesque village of Duino, near Trieste in north-eastern Italy.
It offers a challenging holistic, residential educational programme including the two-year IB Diploma (taught in English) to around 185 students from 80 countries.
The college mission is to welcome young people at the threshold of adult independence and guide them on their way to being compassionate and conscientious individuals with the energy and understanding to work for positive change.The PostThe Educational Programme Assistant is a role designed for recent graduates.
The post-holder will assume a range of responsibilities in various areas of the College, and the aim of the position is to give the successful candidate exposure to various aspects that make up the running of a diverse school such as UWC Adriatic.
This role will suit someone who may have an interest in working in educational policy or educational charities in the future.
The position will involve work in fundraising, communications, university applications, student-based projects, and the college's charity work.
In each of these areas, specific responsibilities will be allocated with full support and professional development given by another member of staff who works in that area.A significant amount of the work conducted requires a native-speaker level of English.
It is therefore a requirement of this position that the post-holder speaks English to native-speaker level and has a high proficiency in written English.The PersonUWC Adriatic is a small boarding college which offers students and staff the opportunity to engage intensely in the educational experience of the students.

The appointment will be on level D of the Federculture national labour contract.

Interviews with candidates will take place shortly after the 15th March deadline.This job advert does not bind the College to identify the candidate suitable for the post.ResponsibilitiesThe Educational Programme Assistant will assume the following responsibilities:Identify new donors through fundraising campaigns that use various communication tools (emails, Facebook, other social media, telephone campaigns).Coordinate alumni and potential-donor profiling.Keep the College connected with alumni and donors by checking addresses, bounces and making sure the database is up to date.Assist in the organisation of Reunions and other donor events.Cultivate existing donors (including major donors) through various forms of feedback from students and from the College.
Organise individual calls to existing donors.CommunicationsSupport the Communications Team in maintaining an up-to-date website and social media feeds.Support the Communications Team with the regular updates given to the College's external partners.Draft messages and communication material to solicit potential donors.Advise and assist the communication teams in developing stewardship material for donors.University ApplicationsSupport the University Counselor in the proofreading of student university applications (particularly applications to US and UK universities).Support the University Counselor in advising students with their university applications.Student-Based ProjectsBe part of the staff team that coordinates the annual student Project Week.Be part of the staff that coordinates the College's volunteering association Mondo 2000.Have involvement in the social services that the College operates in the local area.College Community and Charity WorkTake part in the College's community and charity work that takes place in the local area.Help develop involvement in campaigns with international and global charities.
