EACD Education & Training Committee members are elected for a period of 3 years (renewable once).
The Committee is anticipated to meet at least once every two months and to report a meeting summary back to the General Management Committee.
Role of Education & Training Committee Members The Education & Training Committee members are expected to work closely with each other.
Education & Training Committee members have to be members of EACD and must attend the EACD Annual Meetings during their term.
The responsibilities and duties of the EACD Education & Training Committee members are: To identify training and educational needs for EACD members To support and facilitate initiatives to improve the process of knowledge translation from research into clinical practice.
Develop and promote measures to make educational material and clinical guidelines easily accessible and locally available.
Create and distribute educational products that are relevant to the membership, subject to GMC approval and in close collaboration with the EACD Scientific Committee, including but not limited to webinars, e-courses, workshops, and training schools .
Accountability EACD Education & Training Committee members are accountable to the EACD General Management Committee for the stated duties and responsibilities.
The European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD) i s an international not-for-profit association founded in 1989, and is an association for anyone with a clinical and/or scientific interest in childhood-onset disabilities in Europe and beyond.
EACD's mission is to promote research and education for the benefit of people with childhood-onset disabilities throughout Europe and beyond .
