Teaching - Tertiary (Education & Training) The School Education Management Office is responsible for overseeing the teaching and learning activities of the School's coursework programs.
It provides professional services in two key areas: Student and Education Services.
The Student Services team offers ongoing support to coursework students throughout their time at the School, while the Education Services team collaborates closely with academic staff to support course and unit administration, manage education events, and facilitate the use of learning and teaching tools.
The office ensures that the School meets the requirements of both government and University regulations related to student and education services through effective policies and procedures.
The Education Services Manager supports the Senior Manager (Education), Deputy Head of School (Education), Course Directors, and Deputy Course Directors in delivering education-related administrations and operations.
It leads and manages the Education Support Services team and is responsible for providing high-quality course and unit development and administration, as well as assessment administration for the school's undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.
The Education Services Manager also oversees course and unit offering management, academic staff support, learning and teaching support systems and tools, SETU teaching evaluations, education committee meetings, and special projects management under the direction of the Deputy Head of School (Education).
The role ensures alignment between student and academic services, supporting the School of Business's strategic and operational priorities and contributing to service excellence that reinforces the School's reputation.
Reporting Line: The position reports to the Senior Education Manager, School of Business Supervisory Responsibilities: This position provides general direction to one staff member.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership to the Education Services team, focusing on staff development, performance monitoring, and fostering a high-performance culture to meet organisational objectives.
Oversee the development, administration, and assessment processes for courses and units, ensuring accurate and timely management of course and unit offerings.
Manage academic staff support processes, including administration of teaching tools, and learning resources, to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Manage the planning and execution of committee meetings, education initiatives, and events that align with the School's strategic goals.
Lead the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, including the administration of SETU teaching evaluations and provision of actionable insights.
Plan and implement complex projects, driving reform and innovation to improve operational efficiency and achieve excellence in education service delivery.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication, service delivery, and compliance with University and government regulations related to student and education services.
Key Selection Criteria: A degree or equivalent with relevant experience in education management.
Demonstrated ability to provide operational team leadership, including demonstrated skills in planning, supervision, and decision-making.
Demonstrated track record and commitment to innovation and reform.
Demonstrated strong record in leading high-quality service delivery.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Highly-developed skills in the use of digital technology, including online platforms and advanced spreadsheet skills for collaboration and work management.
