Aboutiqueeconomics consultancy is searching for asenioreconomist to join its competition practicefocusing on cartel damages casesinGermany.The company is a world leading consultancy in competition economics matters and hasmultipleofficesacross Europeincluding theUK, France, Italy,TheNetherlands,and Belgium.The competitioneconomicsteam inGermany is rapidly growing andthe teamislookingfor someone to lead projects, manage clients and to develop other business areas.
The preference is for you to be based in Berlin, but there is flexibility to work in any other of itsEuropean offices if you are German speaking.
Working across a broad range of areas withincompetition includingantitrust, mergers and state aidcases Fastcareer progression toa senior leadership position Exposure to multiple sectors includingfinance, energy, telecoms, transport,and healthcare As a senioreconomistin the team, thepartners will give you a lot ofresponsibilityon the day-to-daymanagementofcartel damages cases, however if you would like to split your timeacross other fields suchmergersandstateaidthere isthe flexibility to do so.
There is a realopportunityhere to make a huge impact at a senior level, to takeownershipof key accounts, and to develop your personal network into a revenue generatingfunction.
Aminimum of 4 years'experience working onhigh leveleconomic analysisin the competition space Experience in managing cartel damages, and/or mergers cases Native orfluent written and spoken German Experiencecommunicatingand workingwith clients and/or key stakeholders Economics training to at leastmasterslevel with, ideally with a focus on industrial organisation This is a unique challenge for someone whois interested in becoming a pivotal memberof a world-leading competitioneconomicsteam, andgrowing your personal brand in the German markets.
