We are currently partnering with a boutique economic consultancy in Milan. With a great reputation in the Italian market and a strong outreach across Europe, they are currently looking to expand the competition branch and are seeking an ambitious senior economist who wants to lead this growth.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to step out of the typical consulting sector and develop something on their own. You will be joining a small team of partners, leveraging their already established name in the industry. You will be responsible for growing the competition market, building a reputation, bringing on clients, and expanding your team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of the competition branch of the consultancy, with the freedom to build a network, work on your cases, and build your teamComplete flexibility in location; you choose your best locationUtilizing pre-established relations with Italian and international clientsPartner position, working alongside other partnersRetaining most of the benefits generated – it's high risk and high rewardBuilding a network, bringing on clients and cases in competition and antitrustEnd-to-end project management, working with Italian and international clients in the competition sectorBuilding a team according to your needsAligning with other partnersRequired ExperienceMaster's or PhD in EconomicsStrong written and oral communication skills in Italian and English, with fluency in bothExtensive experience at an agency, sector regulator, or economic consultancy with a focus on competition economics.Experience working in the Italian market, with either a pre-established book of business or a willingness and ability to build a market and generate business in the near futureStrong analytical and numerical skills
