Meaningful Work From Day One
The eRTC Business Development Manager oversees all eCommerce initiatives in Europe across all eCommerce models from Bricks&Clicks, Marketplaces to B2B channel development based on the Global strategy
They engage with the Commercial Development Director, the Europe Division Extended Commercial Team and the Global eCommerce Director on one side and the in market IMC/Ecommerce Teams on the other side to provide operational commercial direction and execution of the eRTC Strategic Pillar, including:
- Development of unified eRTC model set-up as well as enhancement of e-commercial capabilities and best practices to drive profitable and sustainable business development with a customer focused/centric mindset;
- Cross-functional integration with adjacent areas, such as Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, etc.

- Harmonization & consistency of ways of working across markets (with focus on eCom prioritized markets) to increase efficiency and leverage best practice
Internally this role be called eRTC Business Development Manager Europe and has a flexible location across Europe.
What You Can Expect:
Build Strong Relationships
- Own & Build strategic partnerships with key eCom stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Drive cross department collaboration in Europe, working extensively with the marketing and trade marketing teams, IMC Manager, BBI, finance, and supply chain teams among others
- Acts as a role model of B-F values and culture
- Sets up tools and processes that will address a needed change on continuous performance management in e-commerce with the markets;
Strategic Leadership
- Responsible for delivering and optimizing the eRTC Commercial capabilities (focusing on European eCom priority markets)
- Develop & support markets to create and implement brand/portfolio/price strategy across Europe
Implement the above strategy to create growth through the channel
- Provide strong leadership and direction for the eCommerce workstreams roll out
- Ensure Markets Engagement in execution of the channel vision, strategy and implementation
- Responsible for Division KPIs & Reporting on performance, establishing routines for continuous optimization
- Identify and highlight investment and structure needs required to execute the strategy
- Responsible for eCommerce cohesion and inclusion into Country Plans, processes, budget planning, execution and holistic reporting
- Keep abreast of competitor performance and changes within eCommerce
- Support markets in enabling innovation and new technology to ensure that Brown-Forman is competitive
Business Development
- Works closely with key eCommerce internal and external stakeholders on development of business and portfolio strategies, yearly budgets and quarterly projections, trade terms, price structures, profit margins
- Participate in regular team meetings with Commercial Team, eCommerce Center of Excellence, Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC)
- Maximize new business development opportunities and ensure we are established players in the Bricks&Clicks ecosystem;
- Recommends actions to adapt to changes on a proactive basis;
- Sets up tools and processes that will address a needed change on continuous performance management in e-commerce with the markets;
Commercial Planning
- Support prioritized market teams in developing and defining annual plans
- Develop and communicate annual commercial strategy and work to align it with the overall commercial strategy including goals and KPIs.
- Work closely with key markets to manage annual budgets and ensure product availability with supply chain;
What You Bring To The Table:
- Bachelors or Equivalent); Marketing or related area or equivalent experience
- E-commerce experience gained in FMCG or retail
- Proven ability to drive change through E-commerce and digital management
- Substantial experience in planning, executing and optimizing traffic driving initiatives and consumer marketing comms and consumer engagement, through a mix of digital channels, in order to drive purchase
- Strong understanding of end to end shopper experience, including marketing, customer service and fulfillment
- Strong Business Acumen, P&L experience
- Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated people management experience
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Great analytical skills,commercially savvy
