What You Can Expect Understand the requirements of serial links as specified by IEEE and other sources (OIF, MSA, customer requirements). Familiarize yourself with various modeling approaches for system design and simulation. Work on link budgeting, non-ideality modeling, and system simulation. Analyze DSP challenges and opportunities, explore and compare different optimization directions, and generate trade-off curves for performance and cost (complexity/power/area/design time). Get introduced to state-of-the-art PHY design. Work on high-efficiency DSP design. Learn how to model, simulate, and analyze complex systems involving multi-domain aspects (e.g., physical link/analog circuits/digital circuits/software). Become an expert in MATLAB and other simulation environments (such as custom C++ simulators). Be part of the architecture team. Receive supervision throughout all phases of your work from a reference person to facilitate a fast learning experience. Participate in meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions. Collaborate with other teams, including analog and digital designers, to enrich and expand your knowledge. Gain exposure to an international environment by interacting with teams from multiple locations worldwide. Please note, this is a fixed-term agreement.
What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields. Final-year master's student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar technical field enrolled at an accredited Italian university. Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing. Knowledge of Communication Theory. Basic knowledge of digital design. Basic knowledge of analog design is considered a plus. Basic knowledge of CPP and MATLAB is considered a plus.
