Gregg Drilling, LLC, 2100 Goodyear Rd, Benecia, California, United States of America Req #79Tuesday, February 28, 2023Job Summary:This position is to ensure drilling operations are executed in accordance with the drilling plan from implementation, completion, and abandonment of drill sites.
The Driller is responsible for leading the crew and working with the crew in preparing the equipment and site for the drilling operation, setup and breakdown of drilling sites, which includes repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing throughout the normal workday.
This individual promotes safety and reports safety problems, incidents, accidents, or irregularities.Duties/Responsibilities:Ability to work up to 55 hours per week doing physical labor (up to 12 hours per day)Mechanical ability to do minor repairsConduct pre-trip inspectionSet up control zonePerform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniquesAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more throughout the workdayRequires ongoing repetitive motions (including but not limited to bending and twisting throughout the workday)Ability to withstand long periods of standing (fieldwork involves time on feet for workday except for breaks and lunch period)Maintain equipmentKnowledge of safety policies and proceduresCan direct subordinate employee(s)Maintain all certifications required by the Industry or OSHAForklift trainedPerforms other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Have a valid Commercial driver's license (CDL), Class A preferred but not essential, willingness to obtain Class A.Must be willing to travel extensivelyAbility to lift up to fifty (50) pounds throughout the dayAbility to pass a yearly physical and random drug testsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:The physical and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
