Key Responsibilities: Organize and oversee field work in accordance with safety protocols issued by the data controller, including site inspections, visits, briefings, and supervision of work permits.
Evaluate and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations regarding worker safety and health, implementing the DSSC (signed by him/her), both in terms of objectives and specific provisions.
Issue specific service orders to implement the data controller's safety provisions for activities relevant from the point of view of worker safety.
Support the data controller operationally in responsibility for safety and health in the workplace.
Manage emergencies using service orders, work permits, and provisions aimed at overcoming the emergency itself.
Verify the correct legislative compliance of mining sites as required by current legislation in terms of workplace safety, including fire-fighting systems, lifting systems, pressure equipment, explosive atmospheres, and all that is required by Legislative Decree 624/96 and Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
Request resolution of anomalies by activating the appropriate technical functions if detected.
Verify and rationalize individual work plans, making them congruent with available resources according to safety and workplace aspects.
Verify completeness and consistency of necessary documentation by contractors, ensuring its adequacy for carrying out planned works within the company's documentation management process.
Participate in training and information sessions for roles of competence.
Interface with the competent UNMIG Territorial Office and with the URIG for all issues relating to safety in the workplace.
Interface with the competent territorial commands of the Fire Brigade, the Port Authorities, and any other competent control body for all matters relating to safety in the workplace.
Accompany bodies in charge of safety inspections during field visits, providing clarifications and anything else related to safety aspects and their organization.
Requirements: A degree in engineering or geology with qualification to the profession is required. At least 3 years of experience in the role is also necessary. Additionally, knowledge of principles of treatment of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons, maintenance of industrial plants, and management of offshore plants is necessary. The candidate should also have knowledge of technical regulations of the sector (confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, Exxd classified areas, fire prevention regulations, work at height, handling of loads), as well as aspects relating to mining and safety regulations in the workplace (Legislative Decree 624/96, Presidential Decree 886/79, Legislative Decree 81/2008).
