IFAD invests in rural people by providing low-interest loans and grants to developing countries to finance programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and advocates at the local, national and international level for policies that contribute to rural transformation. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is looking for a strategic leader and accomplished professional to join as member of a departmental management team manage IFAD's Private Sector Operations Division (PSOD), which is responsible for private sector investment, market diagnostic and business development, and the development of knowledge tools and products to inform our private sector operations. We are looking for an experienced candidate able to lead the start-up phase of this new division, oversee a growing portfolio of investments including blended finance transactions, and support the Fund in delivering on its unique mandate through integrated country programmes, while maintaining IFAD's credit rating.
