About the location: A rare gem on Florida's Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida, Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is an exclusive collection of 156 luxurious beachfront private residences and a 220-room hotel all within a 125-acre walkable coastal village in the heart of Old Naples. Honoring local heritage and artfully reimagined for modern-day elegance, the resort includes residents-only facilities and amenities, a luxury spa and state-of-the-art well-being/fitness center, exquisite and diverse fine dining outlets, outdoor pursuits to include pickleball, tennis, and an 18-hole golf course, bowling and movie theater experiences, and an exclusive private club. The first of its kind, the Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is paradise found.
About the role: To direct and oversee all sales activities for the Resort and ensure that all activities and group bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied. It is important that this individual be able to execute and effectively communicate strategies and tactics employed to all key stakeholders, including the sales team and Planning Committee members. This position requires results-oriented interaction with a wide variety of people. It is forward looking, broad in scope, and requires a pro-active mindset to get things done by harnessing all available resources, and seeking incremental resources where the anticipated ROI justifies such action. The position requires a sense of urgency, initiative and competitive drive to get things done by influencing others, delegating and building relationships. There are a wide variety of activities that allow for individual expression and freedom to take independent action. The position requires social poise, warmth and friendliness, as well as the ability to stimulate and motivate others in order to achieve the results necessary for success.
What you will do: Uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan. Monitor sales activities and motivate the sales team and ensure that all salespersons' quotas are met. Ensure that sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room. Lead and monitor the team's efforts to negotiate and confirm sales. Implement and support all FS sales and marketing MOS. Recruit, select, train and guide sales department personnel in the performance of their duties as to specific position responsibilities, performance techniques, reporting procedures, etc. Direct sales activities of the hotel to achieve budgeted goals. Negotiate and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client's needs. Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan. Assist the Director of Marketing in establishing and directing the development of annual sales goals; ensures goals and incentive programs are fully understood and implemented in the hotel. The ability to assume responsibility for the Marketing Department in the absence of the Director of Marketing. The ability to control date, availability, and rate on guest rooms and function space. Support Sales Managers and Catering Sales Managers by participating in solving problems with other departments as required related to business booked in the hotel. Identify and control work relationships, areas of accountability and performance of the personnel assigned. Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximum employee morale and productivity. Oversee the daily operation of the Sales Managers and Coordinators to ensure a fluid sales operation. Forecast the Group segment and Catering contribution on a weekly basis. What you will bring: Must have a minimum of four years' experience in a sales management role, in the capacity of a Director of Sales. Experience in a luxury resort is preferred. Proven track record of exceptional experience in a sales capacity. College degree or equivalent experience. Strong computer and math skills required. Proficient in the use of a personal computer and various software programs including MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Knowledge of all Group segments, Catering Sales, and Conference Services. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build teams, and a passion for sales. Travel involved for trade shows, client events, and conferences. Estimated at 20-25 days per year. Visa Requirements: US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.
