For an iconic 5-star property in Rome, we're looking for a Director of Sales.
You will be leading, directing, and motivating the Sales team as well as ensuring the yearly sales budget is achieved and surpassed. You will also be responsible for extending the management standards and quality guidelines in the department and assuming complete management responsibility for all activities of the department.
Main duties Assisting Management during preparation of the yearly revenue & expense budget. Ensuring all Sales personnel have sales targets, personal sales plans and a personal incentive. Formulating strategies in order to run an effective Sales team. Working closely with all professional sales team members in the preparation of personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and complete a report and analysis at the end of each month. Understanding, following and communicating the company's sales vision. Responsible for building and maintaining good relations with other departments. Attending international fairs, road shows and maintaining/building strong relations during these events. Always providing guidance to team members. Setting priorities, developing managerial work strategies (e.g.: use of delegation), establishing necessary methods to track and monitor to ensure effectiveness. Setting performance standards, linking budget to performance, reporting results and holding the sales team accountable for results. Analysing performance of the sales team, addressing strengths and improvement areas in order to improve effectiveness. Training, developing and coaching team. Seeking out and targeting new customers and new sales opportunities, initiating action plans to approach and secure new business for the company. Providing leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals. Developing, maintaining and improving business relations with all customers of the company. Attending weekly Yield Meetings. Attending weekly Sales & Marketing Meetings. Conducting sales calls with the Sales team. What we are looking for: Minimum 5+ years as Sales Manager. Team Leading experience. Fluency in Italian and English (oral and written). Any other language will be considered a Plus. Experience in Luxury hotels. Experience with Leisure. Experience in the development of foreign markets. Strong relationship and analytical skills.
