Overview:
The Director of Housekeeping will oversee and manage all aspects of the housekeeping operation, with a primary focus on supervising an outsourced cleaning company responsible for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and laundry services.
The role includes leading an internal team to monitor the quality of the services provided and ensuring compliance with Four Seasons standards.
The Director of Housekeeping will also act as a key liaison between the guests, department heads, and the outsourced company to deliver exceptional service and maintain high guest satisfaction scores.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of Outsourced Services Supervise the outsourced cleaning company to ensure adherence to Four Seasons standards.Coordinate with the external provider's supervisor to address guest requests and operational needs promptly.Quality Control Manage an internal team responsible for inspecting and evaluating the cleanliness and quality of rooms, public areas, and laundry services.Conduct regular audits and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.Guest Interaction Actively engage with guests to understand their needs and resolve issues related to housekeeping services.Address feedback to enhance guest satisfaction and improve service ratings.Collaboration with Departments Work closely with other department heads to ensure seamless communication and coordination for guest services.Facilitate the flow of information between the hotel and the outsourced company to meet operational requirements effectively.Budget and Inventory Management Monitor departmental expenses, including outsourced services, to ensure cost efficiency.Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure optimal usage in collaboration with the outsourced company.Standards and Compliance Uphold safety, hygiene, and environmental standards in line with Four Seasons policies.Ensure the outsourced company complies with all regulatory requirements and property-specific guidelines. Requirements:
Proven experience in a managerial housekeeping role, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise internal and external teams effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, team members, and external partners.Proficiency in quality control processes and standards within hospitality operations.Budget management experience and the ability to drive operational efficiencies.Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.Must possess an EU passport, citizenship, or valid working permit for the European Union.
