About the location: A rare gem on Florida's Gulf Coast, this exclusive collection of 156 luxurious beachfront condos and 220-room hotel all within a 125-acre walkable coastal village offers a true retreat along Naples' most treasured beaches.
About the role: The Director of Finance forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel, Residences and Club.
Key to the role is providing timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel senior management (and ownership) and ensuring that the hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures.
What you will do: Responsible for safeguarding the hotel assets and financial resources to ensure that all are utilized to maximize hotel profitability.
Actively network within the community to attract potential candidates for recruitment purposes and understand the competitive market.
Assist General Manager in establishing policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards.
Continuously deliver the highest level of product with respect to financial reporting and analysis, internal control compliance and business management.
Ensure that bank accounts are opened in consultation with owners with a bank of strong financial standing.
Ensure the preparation of a comprehensive monthly report of the entire financial results of the hotel.
Maintain files on all contracts, leases and agreements and ensure compliance with their requirements.
Ensure compliance with all loan covenants and the balance of long-term debt is accurate.
Closely monitor and effectively manage labor costs in compliance with applicable Employment Laws.
Prepare forecasts and budgets as required by corporate office or management agreements.
What you bring: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related position.
Four years' experience as a hotel/resort Director of Finance preferred.
Must have a thorough knowledge of all jobs in the Accounting area.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.
Must have a high degree of professional integrity.
Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred.
