Director Of Finance

POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our luxury hotel as we prepare for an exciting re-opening.
This is a pivotal role that provides strategic financial leadership to support our long-term goals, ensuring financial stability and compliance during this crucial phase.This position is based on property at Aman Rosa Alpina, San Cassiano Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy.
RESPONSIBILITIESProvide financial guidance to the General Manager and align with re-opening objectives.Establish financial systems and controls in line with corporate and local regulations.Lead budgeting and forecasting for re-opening costs, capital expenditures, and operational planning.Conduct regular financial reviews and manage cash flow, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliations.Ensure compliance with all legal, licensing, and tax obligations.Manage and restructure the finance team to meet operational needs.Drive cost control initiatives and promote revenue generation during the re-opening.Collaborate with the General Manager on financial aspects of projects such as capital improvements and renovations.
QUALIFICATIONSWe are looking for a candidate with over 5 years of experience in financial management within luxury hotels, ideally with expertise in hotel re-openings or similar transitional phases.
A degree in Financial Management or a related field is essential, along with a strong understanding of taxation laws, financial reporting standards, and USALI conventions.The ideal candidate will have experience managing finance teams, including recruitment and restructuring, and should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and SunSystem Financial Accounting or similar software.
Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills are key, especially during re-openings.Fluency in both English and Italian is required, as well as exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.
