```html Leap29 are assisting a leading IPP in their search for a Director of Development who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and overseeing renewable energy projects from initial concept through to commercial operation.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in solar PV and/or wind development, including site identification, feasibility studies, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and construction oversight.
Location: Milan, Italy Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the company's strategy for solar PV and wind energy project development in Italy.
Create and manage the annual development roadmap, aligning with the overall growth objectives.
Oversee all stages of project development, from site identification and feasibility studies to permitting, construction, and commissioning.
Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to drive project success.
Liaise with local, regional, and national authorities to ensure compliance with Italian and EU regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and key milestones.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
7-10+ years of experience in solar PV and/or wind energy project development.
Deep knowledge of the Italian renewable energy market, including regulatory frameworks, market trends, and technological advancements.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding large projects.
Fluency in Italian and English is required.
