Job Title: Director of Construction Business Unit On behalf of our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical, food, medtech, and mission-critical sectors, we are seeking a Director of Construction Business Unit.
The position will provide strategic leadership and vision for the Construction Business Unit, ensuring alignment with the overall company growth strategy.
Lead business development efforts, identifying new opportunities to expand the client portfolio and enhance market position within the mission-critical sectors.
Develop and implement business strategies, ensuring the profitable growth of the Construction Unit in line with organizational goals.
Build and maintain high-level client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
Oversee the delivery of large-scale and complex construction projects in the life sciences, food, and data center sectors, ensuring they meet targets for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Manage senior leadership teams within the Construction Business Unit, ensuring that the unit is properly resourced and positioned for success.
Oversee financial performance, ensuring projects are delivered within commercial expectations and contributing to overall company profitability.
Foster a culture of health, safety, and sustainability across all projects, ensuring compliance with the company's HSE policies and statutory regulations.
Qualifications A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
MBA or equivalent business qualifications would be advantageous.
15+ years of experience in the delivery of construction projects within mission-critical sectors, with a track record in senior management level in the construction field.
Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, and financial management within EPC or EPCM companies.
Demonstrated capability in managing large teams and delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) leadership with deep knowledge of relevant statutory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at executive level, with a demonstrated ability to foster client relationships and business growth.
