Job DescriptionFixed Income and Rates Sales role. Client coverage, servicing and growing a fixed income institutional customer base. Trade marketing, execution and booking. The role also provides desk support to the wider Sales Team in backup client coverage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESThe key accountabilities of the role include:
Build and maintain a network of strategic relationships of institutional investors including Bank Treasuries, Asset Managers, Insurance funds, and official institutions.Primary and Secondary coverage of designated clients.Client onboarding, KYC/AML and trade documentation.Marketing of trader Fixed Income inventory.Distribution and discussion of CIBC Research.Identifying opportunities for placement of Bond New Issues.Trade Execution and booking of Bond, Swap, and Repo transactions.Credit and Risk limit checks.Develop financial product and market technical knowledge and understanding.Discharge all duties in accordance with the Certification Regime and related Conduct Rules, as defined by CSSF - Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPSThis job works with in-house Bond, Swap, and Repo originators and traders.This job works with the economic and strategy team.This job works with Client Services AML/KYC team.This job works with risk functions (Credit and Market), compliance, documentation and legal.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSMinimum of 5 years of experience in fixed income markets.Fluent or native German and/or Italian speaker.Proven track record in a client-facing role working with the institutional clients.Strong financial market background.Strong verbal communication & presentation skills.WORKING CONDITIONSRole operates within a normal office environment with little exposure to adverse working conditions.Work pressures caused by concentration on analytical work, conflicting priorities and project timelines can be significant in this type of role.Occasional travel is required.What you need to knowCIBC is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
