Duties:
You will advise and assist other staff elements in the conduct of their analytic tasks, particularly to ensure that efforts will meet Commander needs and preferences.
You will conduct internal CAG efforts to understand the Command's strategic terrain and design, track, facilitate, and assess key leader engagements.
You will maintain awareness of national, departmental, and service strategy and policy in order to assess implications of decisions and advise senior leadership accordingly.
You will assist the Executive Assistant (EA) with managing the organizational health and business operations of OCOM and instituting performance improvements that benefit NAVEUR / NAVAF / JFC-N headquarters elements / staffs.
Requirements: Must be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.This is an overseas position.
You will be subject to and must be able to satisfy the overseas requirements.This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States.You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment.You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Advising necessary personnel in developing and implementing strategic plans to support programs and operations for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness;Overseeing the planning and coordination of major initiatives or special projects;Utilizing the knowledge and understanding of appropriate operations, policies, applicable laws, regulations, rules, practices and procedures specific to the strategic development of the command;Liaising with domestic and foreign military officers and other Senior Executive Service level management officials for strategic oversight.NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.
