We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director, Business Unit Oncology and Hematology, Italy, to effectively lead the Onco-Hema sales and marketing teams, building and maintaining a strong Incyte culture and team spirit locally. The role has overall responsibility to drive & execute the Oncology and Hematology strategy for the country, and to define & execute the strategy & business plan for Onco-Hema products in the market including delivery of commercial goals, annual financial targets, driving cross functional strategies & tactics in line with regional Onco-Hema business strategy.
The role is part of the Italian Leadership Team, and reports to the Regional VP and Country Manager Italy.
Duties and Responsibilities Lead, develop and implement market strategy & Go-to-Market plan for Incyte oncology and hematology brands in the country, aligned with Regional strategy. Ensure plans are executed on budget and on time. Drive commercial activities to meet annual revenue targets. Work cross functionally with local and regional colleagues to define and execute the optimal commercialization & reimbursement strategies. In partnership with Value Access and Pricing colleagues, drive the reimbursement negotiations with local authorities and liaise with local health authorities and payers as required. Enable early sales opportunities from approval of marketing authorization for future product launches (in accordance with local compliance/medical/legal). Drive development of the annual country brand plans and prepare accurate product sales forecasts. Provide support and guidance to the TA Medical Affairs Directors for the definition and execution of the medical plan and tactics. Partner with the Country Medical Director to ensure medical activities are appropriately supported and executed according to the brand plan, in accordance with local legal & compliance. Lead, drive & develop educational programs, advertising, promotion and sales aids, in accordance with the annual brand plans, and in partnership with external agency partners. Ensure Incyte participation & presentation at congresses, meetings and physician training, including appropriate booth and educational materials. Understand and map the local/regional/national funding, clinical and access decision processes and identify all key VAP stakeholders. Lead, develop and execute customer strategies, segmentation & targeting to optimize field deployment in partnership with sales and medical teams. Work closely with other Onco-Hema BUD's across Europe to share learning and best practice. Cooperate actively with the other members of the local leadership team. Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics. Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines. Requirements Life Sciences or similar relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. More than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, promoting specialist pharmaceutical products – preferably in oncology/hematology and in a national role. Demonstrated track record of specialist sales, marketing management and first line sales management. Excellent leadership and management skills. Strong team player. Very strong communication and presentation skills. Strong knowledge of industry compliance rules and requirements. Self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset. Business knowledge. Negotiating skills. Responsibility and self-motivation. Result orientation. Very good IT-skills. Fluent in Italian and English.
