Job Description:
This position will serve as an experienced Digital Forensics Scientist based out of Caserma Del Din in Vicenza, Italy.
Job Responsibilities:
Support US Army Europe/Africa G2 and other Intelligence related mission partners, as a key team member of a complex program that provides professional services in support of advisory and analysis efforts associated with Command, Control, Cyber, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) mission areas. Assist team that will monitor and provide expertise regarding specific countries within USAREUR-AF's AOR/AOI and plan/organize USAREUR-AF G2X's analytical engagement with NATO and other foreign partner agencies. Research, analyze, and produce near and long-term all source assessments on terrorism / counterterrorism, and multi-discipline counter-intelligence issues in response to CG USAREUR-AF's priority intelligence requirements and to enable U.S. and foreign partner counterintelligence operations. Provide DOMEX/MEDEX/CELLEX-specific operational and mission subject matter expertise support to the command, its subordinate units, and other Government organizations/services within the AFRICOM AOR, as directed, to address intelligence requirements and offer DOMEX/MEDEX/CELLEX expertise. Deliver training on the collection, exploitation, analysis, and reporting of findings from digital information obtained from various sources. Use tactics, techniques, and procedures specific to MEDEX/CELLEX for the acquisition, exploitation, analysis, integration, and production of reports. Conduct analysis and/or procurement of new MEDEX/CELLEX equipment, software, and peripherals. Ensure continuous software updates for the SETAF-AF MEDEX/CELLEX equipment. Establish and maintain mission-ready, fully operational DOMEX equipment, including fly-away deployable kits and steady-state equipment. Perform virus and malware scan analysis on all electronic devices returning from deployment to the continent. Conduct research and analysis on the latest techniques in exploitation. Assist with training, updates, and inventory management of biometric equipment as required. Provide technical recommendations on new and emerging capabilities in the field of digital forensics. Travel as required, to perform services at other locations within the USEUCOM or US AFRICOM AOR or Area of Interest (AOI) to meet mission requirements in both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Education and Experience Requirements:
Masters Degree +8 Years Experience in relevant Cybersecurity Forensics Expert level knowledge of Cyber Forensics tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) Excellent Written and Verbal communications skills These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Holding a Cybersecurity Forensics certification, such as GIAC Battlefield Forensics and Acquisition (GBFA) GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) Recent experience working in a Cybersecurity Forensics Capacity for an Intelligence Community or DoD organization.
