Aresys is looking for a Digital Electronics Designer to join its Instruments and EGSE business unit dedicated to the development of advanced payload solutions for avionics and space and EGSE systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities: Electronic boards schematics design, prototyping, and production for mixed signal, processing intensive, multi-channel acquisition applications. Autonomously managing electronic development projects involving schematics, layouts, BOMs for systems, modules, flex assemblies, multi-chip modules, and main logic boards. Circuit design, schematics definition, and PCB layout implementation. Boards testing & debugging using the most common lab instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, VNA, etc.). Actively participate in the integrated system development supporting HW/SW integration and HW mechanical integration. Supervise and participate in the detailed design up to the realization and verification of the apparatus. Responsibility of BOM prepared with the support of the electronic technical team and system engineers. Ensure adherence to all relevant standards (e.g. ECSS) and protocols for EEE parts and services and support the resolution of quality and technical issues. Effectively manage the selection of suppliers and the parts procurement flow to ensure they meet requirements for quality, service, delivery, cost, risk mitigation, and capabilities in conjunction with the Quality team. Coordinate the preparation of the project technical documentation. Education and experience: BsC or MsC in Electronics engineering. Professional experience in similar application fields. Experience in HW design for space / new space missions. Experience in space qualification processes of HW modules. Technical skills: Schematic and layout design tool suites from Cadence. Skilled in communication systems, transceivers, and sensors. Fundamentals of signal processing and data analysis. (as a plus) VHDL programming. (as a plus) Fundamentals of firmware programming (C, micro-controllers). (as a plus) Mechanical design and modeling tools such as Solidworks. (as a plus) Fundamentals of RF board design. (as a plus) Experience in Signal Integrity. MS Windows / Linux and office suite for documentation. Personal qualifications: Capable of managing small projects in an autonomous way (e.g. the development of an electronic board from requirements to prototyping). Well suited to work in a team.
