Job descriptionAutomotive Senior Physical Implementation Designer STMicroelectronics - Automotive Discrete Groups (ADG) R&D is developing innovative ADAS and Microcontroller products requiring state of the art architecture, Analog, Digital designs and technologies.
As experienced Physical Implementation HW designer you will be accountable to implement, from RTL (Register Transfer Level) to GDS dbase, complex IP and System On Chip (SoC) in most advanced technologies of next generation vehicle.You will work in close collaboration with all core functions and stakeholders:
Customer, Marketing, System, Verification, Validation and Test Engineering teams.You will be accountable for:
- Physical Design of complex IPs - sub-system - SoC in different technologies and nodes (CMOS,BCD,FinFet)
- Trade-offs between performance and area appropriately to meet the requirements of the product
- Scheduling and reporting project activities to yourmanagement
- Budgeting HW/SW resources Profile - You graduated in Electronic Engineering, or other related science
- You hold advanced knowledge of Physical Implementation (aka Back-End) tools of major EDA Vendors (Synthesis/P&R/Clock tree/DRC/LVS/Static Timing Analysis)
- You have solid know-how of Back End Methodologies - Flows - Checks
- You have solid know-how of the devices physic and CMOS-BCD processes
- You have competences of schematic capture, analogue layout, silicon validation
- You have basic skill of Verilog or VHDL- You know scripting languages, e.g.
Perl/TCL/Python
- You hold 5+ years experiences in IC design
- Experienced delivery of 4+ devices
- You must have strong Teamwork spirit and Communication skill (fluent in English)
- You must be proactive, have a strong creativity and high problem solving attitude
- Education level required:
Master degree in Electronic Engineering
