Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Digital Business Analyst to support our Digital & Lumada Solutions (D&LS) Line of Business who thrives in a fast-paced environment as part of the Digital Strategy and Growth team. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks to bring digital knowledge from the market environment identifying, collecting and analyzing Digital and Innovative Customer needs, interfacing key stakeholders from Hitachi Rail and Hitachi Group. The position is based in Genoa, Italy.
The Digital Business Analyst needs technical knowledge of the public transport environment (i.e. Rail/Bus portfolio) in order to influence the foundation of new solutions that will represent new sources of revenue in line with Hitachi Rail competencies and business.
The Digital Business Analyst's key role will be to support in the elaboration of Business Cases and Business Plans to create new sources of revenue powered by Lumada for Hitachi Rail.
You need business analysis skills with a versatile mindset to converge technical and economic concepts to understand customer needs bridging with new business environments able to synthesize correctly the information and disseminate it to an audience with different backgrounds.
D&LS works with an Agile mindset, with maximum flexibility and extreme focus on results: you will have the opportunity to embrace the digital transportation ecosystems of Hitachi and be part of creating new sources of business in Hitachi Rail.
Accountabilities
Support D&LS in the identification and analysis of digital customer needs, elaborating market and competitor analysis to improve current areas of business.
Develop the value proposition of new technologies as part of the Hitachi Rail business as well as Hitachi Group.
Elaborate Business Cases and Business Plans for D&LS.
Support D&LS Unit in the elaboration of material and promotion of the Lumada Intelligent Mobility Management Suite Portfolio.
Elaborate Cost Benefit analysis to support D&LS Sales Force to convince customers to implement D&LS portfolio.
Collaborate with the strategic business growth of Hitachi Rail led by Lumada.
Required Skills/Knowledge Understand the complexity of how to place different technical competencies to build a single project.
Analyze and propose the value proposition of a new product, system, or solution.
Read, review, and synthesize market reports.
Create a business case and a business plan from scratch.
Skills to understand at a high level the characteristics of a new technical solution and compare it with those supplied by other companies.
Able to use internet tools to search for competitive information about Hitachi Rail products.
Able to understand customers and collect their priorities and needs.
Able to formulate your own opinion, backed up with data and confidence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with people from different backgrounds (technical and commercial), managing discussions to collect the main technical and business digital needs.
Willing to travel frequently.
Education/Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business School).
3-5 years of working experience.
Languages
Fluent knowledge of English (written & spoken).
