Technical Expertise: Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Google Cloud and/or AWS services like Compute Engine/EC2, Cloud Run/Lambda, Dataflow/Datapipeline, BigQuery/Redshift, Cloud SQL/RDF, Pub/Sub/Kafka, etc Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient with tools like Pulumi, Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for automating infrastructure.
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Google Cloud Build.
Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE on GCP or EKS on AWS).
Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating tasks and tool integration.
Version Control: Experience with Git and GitOps workflows.
Monitoring & Logging: Experience with cloud native tools (CloudWatch, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging) and third-party tools like Elastic Search, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Networking: Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity).
Cloud Security: Understanding of cloud security services (IAM, Cloud Identity, Secret Manager) and implementing best security practices.
Bonus Points For Scalability Expertise: Proven experience in building scalable, modular infrastructure solutions.
SRE Practices: Experience with SRE practices like incident response, error budgeting, and post-mortem analysis to reduce downtime.
Cost Optimization: Knowledge of cloud Cost Management and techniques for tracking and reducing cloud costs.
MLOps Insight: Exposure to MLOps practices and tools like Vertex AI, Dataflow, and BigQuery ML.
Geospatial Data Pipelines: Experience with large-scale geospatial data pipelines on GCP.
