ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - UNIVERSITA' DI BOLOGNA - DIPARTIMENTO DI FISICA E ASTRONOMIA Job Offer The project aims to develop a database of events based on numerical simulations of accidental oil spills, with the purpose of mapping the pollution risk to the entire Mediterranean coastline.
The project involves the definition, development, and implementation of asynchronous coupling (off-line) techniques between atmospheric and ocean circulation models, and the pollutant transport and transformation model called MedslikII.
A Geoportal will also be developed to provide fast access to the database, which will be hosted on a European Cloud infrastructure within the Edito-Lab Project.
The work will also be carried out in collaboration with CMCC in Lecce as part of the Edito-Lab project itself.
