Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Development Manager to join the team in Milan.The role:The Development Manager will oversee a portfolio of energy storage development projects through development phases, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in collaboration with CIP investment team and CISC specialist teams.The role will be based in Milan and will report into the Commercial Director.Responsibilities:Bridge relationships with all relevant stakeholders to ensure positive negotiations on land rights, deeds, permits, DNO offers, planning and route-to-market interactions where requiredLead day-to-day communications with external developers to drive progress and performanceLead bid processes for grid capacity or tolling offtake etcEnsure efficient development process towards RtB and represent CIP investment interests within developmentEnsure appropriate governance within JV partnership including administration of the Shareholding Agreement and Development Services AgreementSupport positive Final Investment Decision in large scale BESS projects by presenting solid execution plans coupled with robust business casesLeverage expert teams and JV partner to solve problems, manage risk and focus on key project fundamentalsManage RFPs and procurement processes as necessary, working together with other Storage Delivery Team members to define and develop most feasible project economicsCommunicate and report on project and investment portfolio health to internal stakeholdersSupport CIP as required in preparing investor material decision recommendationsMain Interfaces / stakeholders:CISC Project teamCIP Investment / Investment management teamsDevelopers and third-party service providersThe right candidate:You will have a verifiable record of project development (and ideally construction) in PV, wind, or BESS in Italy, along with a solid awareness of the dynamics within the renewable energy industry and related environmental subjects.We also look for the following in a candidate:Experienced in renewable energy developmentMotivated and ready to confront issues with the goal of producing effective solutionsExperience in managing senior and junior stakeholdersAdept at project and program management with a focus on effective communicationUnderstanding of grid knowledge/relationships with DNOs and TSOsFluent in Italian and EnglishThe process:Please apply online as soon as possible as applications will be processed on an ongoing basis.
